ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – The Coe College women's track and field team competed at Augustana's Meet of Champions Thursday and Friday. The Kohawk women turned in numerous strong finishes, led by Sangai Dukuly and Lily Mayo who placed fourth in the triple jump and 3000m Steeplechase. Dukuly just missed the podium with a leap of 10.76m while Mayo finished in a time of 12:03.32. Taiy Pruett had a top-10 finish for the Kohawks in the 400m Hurdles with a personal-best mark of 1:09.67, finishing just outside the point-scoring efforts in 10th. Josie Gehrke recorded another top-20 finish for the squad in the 400m, placing 17th in a time of 1:09.67. Coe's 4x400 relay team placed sixth with a time of 51.80 as Taiy Pruett, Sangai Dukuly, Josie Gehrke and Maggie Preuss claimed a point-scoring finish. Taiy Pruett, Sangai Dukuly, Josie Gehrke and Maggie Preuss rounded out the relay efforts in the 4x400, placing 11th in 51.80. Emily Velasquez was Coe's top finisher in the field events, placing 35th in the Javelin with a throw off 12.19m.
