CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The Coe College women's golf team hosted the opening round of the Kohawk Invite Saturday at Pheasant Ridge Golf Course, welcoming eight schools to the tournament. Sophomore
Lia Maxwell fired a team-best 80 during the course of the first round, making 10 pars on her round.
Sydney Stutzel, competing as an individual, posted Coe's best score of the day, shooting one stroke better for a 79 in her first collegiate round.
Kye Daywitt (83, T31),
Madison Connolly (84, T37),
Morgan Witte (86, T46) and
Paige Franzen (86, T46) rounded out the team scoring for the Kohawks who sit in seventh place after 18 holes.
Abigail Mundsinger also competed as an individual for Coe and posted a first-round total of 93.
