AMES, Iowa – The Coe College women's track & field team had three student-athletes compete against top athletes from states across the school and midwest at Iowa State Friday, competing at the Cyclone Open.
Lily Mayo, Brieannah James and
Piper Boggs were in action for the Kohawks at the meet, competing in the 3000m, 1 Mile and the Weight Throw. Mayo was Coe's top finisher overall, placing 15th in the 3000M race with a time of 11:06.13, her best time of the season. Boggs recorded a best throw of 11.69m in the weight throw, placing 20th overall. James, the final Kohawk to compete, ran a new personal-best mark of 6:10.81 in the mile to place 45th overall.
