CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Coe women's soccer hosted Wartburg for their final home match of the season on Tuesday. The Kohawks looked to qualify for the A-R-C tournament with a win and help from other teams around the conference as they sat seventh, tied on points with Nebraska Wesleyan. A mostly defensive first half saw both teams level with a half an hour gone. The Knights outshot the Kohawks 11 to four in the first half, and in the 33rd minute they were able to capitalize on a shot outside the box. Coe keeper
Cecillie Monroe made three saves in the half to keep it to one for Wartburg. The second half was largely dominated by the Knights, as they extended their first half lead to 3-0, which would ultimately decide the game. The Kohawks managed four shots in the second half to Wartburg's 12 and finished their season with a loss.

- Kohawk attackers Sage Schwartz and Magdalynne Preuss got the offense started off early, as they both had shots in the third minute blocked. Wartburg fired back with a few chances of their own, as a shot rocketed off the Coe crossbar and ended up staying out of the net. Both teams would keep the pressure on, but would play it mostly safe as thirty minutes in the match was still tied. In the 33rd minute, Wartburg was able to break the deadlock and grab the 1-0 lead. The second half began with three Wartburg shots within the first five minutes, all of which we off target. Coe would not even get a shot on goal before the Knights doubled their lead in the 70th minute. A free kick from Katie Lindsay would force a save from the Wartburg keeper and almost halved the advantage. Shortly after, Wartburg scored their third goal in the 74th minute to seal the match. Coe would manage three more shots before the end of the match to put pressure on the Knights but it proved to not be enough as the game finished 3-0.
