NEW VIRGINIA, Iowa – The Coe College Clay Target team finished atop the leaderboard at the end of the Grand View Invite on Saturday, claiming the team title as sophomore
Kamea Herrera won the individual title. Coe totaled 1,332, edging second-place Simpson by 19 targets. and third-place Grand View by 22 targets. The Kohawks finished first in two of the three disciplines, finishing on top of the Trap and Skeet leaderboards with 469 and 470 targets respectively. Herrera made headlines individually, placing first among the field of 34 as she finished with an HOA score of 275.
Gregory Stewart was just behind Herrera in second place, totaling 272 to help Coe to victory.
Ian Wick, Clare Finney and
Lily Reichardt capped off Coe's top five finishes, totaling 258, 254 and 247.
