DECORAH, Iowa — Coe College women's basketball senior guard
Caydee Kirkham registered her second straight 30-point performance and her fifth of the 2025-26 season Wednesday evening, leading the Kohawks women to an 89-56 victory over Luther to finish off the season sweep of the Norse. Kirkham was on fire from the opening quarter, scoring 15 points in the first period as she helped Coe race out to an early 29-15 advantage. Luther managed to slow the Kohawks momentarily in the second quarter, keeping it relatively close with a 43-30 scoreline at the half. Coe got rid of any doubt in the third quarter, outscoring the hosts 25-15 as seven different players recorded points in the frame to make it a 23-point lead ahead of the fourth. The Kohawks continued to fire in the final period, getting six more points from Kirkham as Coe stretched the lead past 30 before the end of the contest. In total, Kirkham finished with 31 points, seven rebounds and four assists while shooting 12-of-18 from the floor and 5-of-8 from deep.
Quinn Grubbs (10) and
Audrie Helmrichs (10) rounded out Coe's double-digit scoring efforts while
Averiel Brady (9) and
Kelly Knight (8) had solid offensive evenings.

- Coe quickly established momentum in the first quarter, ripping off a 17-9 across the opening five and a half minutes. Kirkham was on fire during the stretch, scoring 10 points including two three in under two minutes. Luther scored five of the next eight points to settle down but Coe stormed right back before the end of the period, scoring nine unanswered, capped by a 3 from Grubbs to make it 29-14. The Kohawks slowly pushed the lead in the third quarter, making it 40-22 with three minutes to play. Luther made it interesting with a late run, getting an 8-3 run to pull within 13 at the break. Coe responded immediately in the third quarter, scoring 13 of the first 18 points as Kirkham and Helmrichs combined for 10 during the run. Luther steadied the ship but failed to cut into Coe's lead before the end of the quarter, trading punches with the Kohawks who led 68-45 after three. Kirkham put the icing on the cake early in the fourth, helping Coe to a 13-5 with back-to-back 3s to make it a 30-point advantage. The Kohawks eased over the finish line in the final minutes, turning to the bench to see out the remaining time.
