CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The Coe College men's tennis team took on in-state foe Grinnell College Saturday at the Clark Racquet Center, falling 6-1 to the Pioneers in a tightly contested battle. The Kohawks fell behind in the doubles competition, with the visitors claiming victories at number two and number three.
Jumpei Kasai / Bryton Short earned a 6-2 win at the top spot for the Kohawks, but a 7-6 decision at number two secured the team point for Grinnell. The teams went toe-to-toe in singles as four matches went into third-set tiebreakers, but the Pioneers managed to claim five of six matches with
