- The Kohawks struck first after a chance for the Prairie Fire in the top of the second, getting a two-out single from Brosius for the 1-0 lead. Brent Yonkovic brought home two runs later in the frame, singling to center to plate Hosch and Gomez who had reached earlier on an error. Gomez reached on an error later in the frame, allowing another run to score although the ball was already deep enough to make it 5-2. The Kohawk offense put the final touches on the victory in the eighth with two more runs, getting an RBI single from Mitchell before an infield single from Wille made it 7-2. Knox managed to make things interesting in the ninth, bringing the tying run to the plate with one out but Morse did well to bounce back from an initial walk with back-to-back strikeouts to win the game.
