CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The Coe College men's tennis team got a non-conference victory Saturday morning at the Clark Racquet Center, defeating the visiting Augustana College Vikings 6-1. The Kohawks opened with a dominant showing in doubles, getting wins from
Bryton Short / Jumpei Kasai, Anthony Schulte / Daniel Rohlman and
Joshua Tiemann / Ivan Burt-Smith as the three pairs earned 6-1, 6-2 and 6-2 decisions respectively. Singles brought more dominance from the Kohawks, winning all one but as Schulte, Tiemann, Short and Rohlman won their second matches of the day while
Luke Doig earned an epic 16-14 victory in a third-set tiebreaker to cap off the victory.
