GALESBURG, Ill. – Coe women's soccer made the trip to Galesburg, Ill. for another non-conference matchup with the Knox College Prairie Fire on Saturday, September 12. The Kohawks would look to end the losing skid on the road, and it looked like they would with an early attack. Coe's
Magdalynne Preuss would force an early save from the Prairie Fire keeper in the third minute. Knox College would weather the attack to put a goal on the board, scoring in the 27th minute. Coe would try and bounce back, but would concede another goal in the 34th minute, making the score 2-0 at halftime. Coe would eventually score late in the second half to start the comeback.
Sarenna Hurtig would cut the deficit in half with a goal in the 77th minute, but Coe would ultimately come up short and lose the match 2-1.

- The first half was evenly matched, with Coe registering three shots to Knox's five shots. Magdalynne Preuss, Kylie Ireland, and Elly Manning all credited with shots in the first half. Knox College would open the scoring with a goal in the 27th minute. A second goal would double the Knox lead in the 34th minute.
- The Kohawks would pile on the pressure in the second half to try to get back into the game. Coe would outshoot the Prairie Fire 8-1 and would grab a goal back in the 77th minute; Kohawk Freshman Sarenna Hurtig would score her first of the season. Coe would put up a good fight in the last 10 minutes of the half, but it would not be enough as the match ended 2-1 in favor of the Prairie Fire.
