CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Coe College Volleyball team wrapped up its home Mabel Lee Invite, facing (RV) Hope College on Saturday afternoon. The Kohawks saw their losing streak extended to six in the match with the Flying Dutch, falling 3-0 to the visitors. Hope took the sets 25,2-0, 25-22, and 25-21, hitting .212 as a team while forcing 24 Coe errors and limiting the Kohawks to a .037 attack percentage.
Tessa Casebolt led the offense with 12 kills in the match and was followed by
Adilyne Reyes and
Jasmine Shields, who had five kills each.

- Hope opened the first set with a 10-1 run and later fended off a comeback effort from the Kohawks. Coe slowly chipped away and got within five at 20-15, but Hope found the five points it needed to take the 1-0 lead. The second set was back-and-forth early on as the teams were separated by just one at 12-11. The Kohawks took the lead momentarily later in the frame, going up 20-19, but the Flying Dutch scored six of the final eight points to go up 2-0. Coe started with a 4-1 run in the third set but again Hope had an answer. The visitors ripped off a 10-4 response to regain control, leading 11-8. The Kohawks found their way back in front with six straight points, but again a strong close to the set gave Hope the 3-0 sweep.
