STORM LAKE, Iowa – Coe College junior women's golfer Lia Maxwell was five shots better than her closest competitor on Sunday in the final round of the Buena Vista University Invite, vaulting up the leaderboard with a final-round 76 to claim medalist honors at the tournament. Maxwell, who was in a tie for fourth place after the opening round, was on fire on Sunday as she recorded two birdies and 11 pars en route to the title. Maxwell made a double bogey on the second hole of the day but bounced back with a birdie on eight and carded another on 16 as she locked down medalist honors. Sydney Stutzel followed Maxwell on the individual leaderboard, shooting 90 on Sunday to finish with a two-day total of 177 to place T15. Abigail Mundsinger and Brooklyn Gilchrist finished off Coe's team scoring efforts on Sunday, posting rounds of 94 to place T21 and T32. Vera Obolenskaya was the final Kohawk in action, shooting 98 in round two to place T30.
