KANSASVILLE, Wisc. – The Coe College women's golf team played its final tournament of the regular season on Friday and Saturday, competing at the Midwest Region Classic hosted by Benedictine University. The Kohawks opened the tournament with a first-round score of 354 as
Lia Maxwell, Vera Obolenskaya, Abigail Mundsinger, Sydney Stutzel and
Brooklyn Gilchrist made up the lineup for Coe. Maxwell and Stutzel had the lowest scores in the first 18, shooting rounds of 84 to pace the team. Munsinger and Obolenskaya were close behind with opening rounds of 92 and 94, while Gilchrist concluded the scoring with a 105. Maxwell posted a team-best round on Saturday once again, firing an 81 with three birdies and four pars as she shaved three strokes from her opening round to finish T38. Obolenskaya also shaved a few strokes from her opening round on Saturday, shooting 90 with a trio of pars as she finished with a two-day total of 184. Rounding out the day two scoring for Coe were Mundsinger, Stutzel and Gilchrist, posting scores of 92, 93 and 95.
