ELMHURST, Ill. – The Coe College men's soccer team finished off its non-conference schedule for the 2026 season on Tuesday evening, falling to Elmhurst University 6-1. The Kohawks conceded twice in the first 15 minutes, seeing the Blue Jays take an early lead with goals in the sixth and 14th minutes.
Brandon Kostelny restored some hope for Coe in the 18th, scoring his sixth goal of the season for the Kohawks to halve the deficit. The hosts scored once more before the end of the half to regain a multi-goal lead and went on to add three insurance goals in the second half to ensure the victory.

- The Bluejays totaled 11 shots in the first half, with three coming in the first five minutes. A rebounded effort gave Elmhurst its first goal of the game before doubling the lead in the 14th. Kostelny pulled Coe back into the game, scoring his sixth goal of the season just minutes later to make it 2-1. Elmhurst controlled the rest of the half, piling on the pressure before adding a third in the 43rd minute. The Blue Jays grabbed another goal early in the second half and denied a shot attempt from Jake Keebler in the 50th to keep their comfortable lead. Elmhurst went on to add two more insurance goals in the 81st and 85th minutes, seeing out the victory.
