LINCOLN, Neb. - The Coe College women's soccer team turned in a solid effort on Saturday evening but fell short at Nebraska Wesleyan, dropping the A-R-C contest 2-0. The Kohawks recorded 12 shots in the match, their second highest total of the season, but conceded once in each half while failing to score themselves. NWU grabbed the lead in the 28th minute, scoring from a saved penalty kick to grab the lead. The Kohawks had a strong remainder of the first half and early start to the second half but failed to capitalize on their momentum. The Prairie Wolves withstood the attack from Coe and scored a late goal to secure the victory. The loss drops Coe to 0-10-1 overall and 0-2 in the A-R-C while NWU improves to 5-3-1 and 1-1 in the league.

- Coe had a strong start to the match, getting an early shot on target by Ella Weber in the fourth minute but her shot was stopped to keep the match scoreless. Nebraska Wesleyan had some momentum over the next couple of minutes, creating a few shooting chances but four shots from the hosts all missed the target. The opening goal came after a saved penalty from Liana Sweezer, who did well to save the initial penalty but the rebound fell to the feet of a Prairie Wolves attacker who scored to make it 1-0. Coe had three more shots including another attempt on target from Weber but another good save kept the Kohawks off the board.
- The visitors had an early chance in the second half, creating a shooting chance for Brianna Ellsworth but again, the Prairie Wolves keeper was up to the task. The Kohawks and Prairie Wolves trading scoring chances over the remainder of the second half. Coe's best chance came in the 65th off a strike from Weber who avoided a few defenders and fired a shot to the far post but saw it saved by a diving effort. Nebraska Wesleyan handled the pressure for the final few minutes of the half and finally scored the insurance goal, striking in the 89th minute as Coe had put players in the attacking area.
