DECORAH, Iowa - The Coe College women's tennis team concluded its fall season over the weekend at the 2022 American Rivers Conference Indiviudal Championships. The Kohawks were led by
Claudia Bilkey who took home the individual trophy in the B-Singles flight, winning four matches in two days to secure the title. Bilkey was tested in the championship match, outlasting Luther's Bruna Costa by a final score of 2-6, 6-2, 10-7. Doubles pair
Courtney Carstensen and
Maria Bello Escobar also brought home hardware for Coe, finishing third in the B-Doubles flight with an 8-0 victory over Lauren Silva and Maura Kapala from Loras.
Madison Schultz entered the tournament as the top singles seed in the event and won a pair of matches before suffering a semi-final defeat to Sofia Sackett of Luther, the eventual runner-up in A-Singles.
