RIPON, Wisc. - The Coe College women's soccer team earned its first point of the 2022 season, securing a 2-2 draw at Ripon on Saturday afternoon. The Koahwks opened the scoring in the first half, getting a goal from
Mackenzie Adams just 19 minutes in. The visitors added to their lead in the first few minutes of the second half as
Ella Weber scord her second of the season to make it 2-0. Ripon stayed in the match despite the two-goal deficit, halving Coe's lead in the 52nd minute. The Red Hawks tied the game in the 78th minute, scoring the final goal of the game in the 78th minute. The result put Coe at 0-6-1 overall while Ripon moves to 1-4-1 on the season.

- Coe started the game on top, registering five shots in the opening 15-plus minutes. Adams gave the Kohawks the lead just a few minutes later, intercepting a loose pass outside Ripon's box while beating the keeper with a lobbed shot from just beyond the area. Coe cotinued to pile on the pressure prior to the end of the half, racking up five shots before the break.
- The Kohawks continued to press in the start of the second half, getting a pair of chances from Brianna Ellsworth and Adams. Weber capitalized on the momentum for the Kohawks, scoring her second goal of the season to make it 2-0. Weber picked up the ball 20-yards outside the Red Hawk area, and shifted it to her left foot before beating the keeper with a strike from nearly 35 yards out.
- Ripon responded less than five minutes later, slicing the Coe lead to just one goal with over 30 minutes to play. The Red Hawks took advantage of one of their few remaining opportunities, tying the game int the 78th minute. The Kohawks pushed hard over the final 10-plus minute for the winning goal but the attempts from Coe all came up empty.
