WHITEWATER, Wisc. - The (RV) Coe College volleyball team ended the UW-Whitewater Invitational with a pair of victories on Saturday, sweeping North Central 3-0 and defeating Concordia (Wisc.) 3-2. The Kohawks opened the day with an impressive 3-0 decision, hitting .268 with 34 kills while holding the Cardinals to .047 attack percentage. Freshman
Maggie Furlong led Coe with 11 kills in the match, finishing with a .611 hitting percentage and zero errors. The Kohawks wrapped up the perfect day in match two, claiming a 3-2 victory over Concordia (Wisc.).
Kate Tidman had a season-high 27 kills in the victory, attacking at a .257 rate. The wins move Coe to 9-3 on the season while North Central and Concordia (Wisc.) drop to 4-1 and 6-5 overall.

COE 3 - NORTH CENTRAL 0
- The Kohawks got off to a solid start in the opening set of the day, racking up 13 kills and just two errors in the first. Coe jumped out to an early 10-1 lead in the frame and built its advantage to 12 at 19-7. The Kohawks stayed in front for the remainder of the period, grabbing an early 1-0 lead.
- Coe continued to dominate in the second set, racing out to a 12-2 lead again. North Central looked to mount a comeback, scoring four points in a six-point stretch to cut the deficit to just eight. The Kohawks answered back and closed out the set with a 25-16 victory.
- Again, Coe jumped ahead in the third set, taking a 10-6 lead early on but North Central stormed back and tied the game at 11. The teams went back-and-forth over the next few points but Coe regained a three-point lead at 20-17. The Kohawks secured the victory with a dominant close, scoring five of the final seven points to sweep the Cardinals.

COE 3 - CONCORDIA 2 (WISC.)
- The Eagles jumped ahead early in the match, grabbing a 25-21 victory in the opening set. Concordia took an early 11-4 lead in the frame and withstood a comeback attempt from the Kohawks who climbed within four points of the lead.
- The Kohawks bounced back for a 25-21 win in set two, registering 13 kills in the frame. Concordia (Wisc.) took an 8-2 lead early on, forcing a Coe timeout. The Kohawks answered immediately after the timeout, ripping off six-straight points to knot the score at eight. The Eagles responded with a run of their own, scoring six of seven points to regain a significant lead at 14-9. Coe buckled down before the end of the second set, flipping the score in its favor to claim a 25-21 victory in the second.
- The Eagles responded in the third, racking up 13 kills with a .231 attack percentage. Coe had 15 kills in the period but committed seven errors and hit just .182. Concordia took another early lead but Coe scraped back and tied the set at seven. The Eagles retook a lead at 13-9, scoring five points in a six-point stretch. Concordia (Wisc.) hung on to its lead over the final stretch of the set, claiming a 25-21 victory to go up 2-1.
- Coe needed extra points in the fourth set, earning a 26-24 decision to force the fifth period. The Kohawks and Eagles both struggled on offense in the set, hitting just .085 and .077 respectively. Coe, which trailed 24-22, scored four-straight points to end the set, claiming a 26-25 victory to force a decisive fifth.
- The Kohawks raced out to an early 5-0 lead but the Eagles stood tough and tied the match at five. Coe dominated the final few points of the period, scoring 10 of the final 13 points in the set to claim a 15-8 win.
