Men's Golf Breaks 36-Hole School Record, Geiger and Lawton Finish T5 at Wartburg Fall Invite

WAVERLY, Iowa - The Coe College men's golf team broke the 36-hole school scoring record on Saturday, posting a total of 591 at Wartburg's Fall Invite. The Kohawks, who beat the old record by seven strokes, were led by Lucas Geiger and Matt Lawton who both carded a 36-hole score of 145 to finish in a tie for fifth. Alec Brockmeyer also had an impressive performance across the two rounds, finishing with a total of 149 to earn a tie for 16th place. Sam Scully rounded out the team scoring for the Kohawks, posting a 154, good for a tie of 32nd place. Kirkwood claimed the team title with a final score of 565 while the Eagles' Taylor Crisp claimed individual medalist honors at five-under par.
