CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Coe College women's soccer dropped its final non-conference match of the season on Wednesday evening, falling 2-0 to Iowa Wesleyan University. The Kohawks and Tigers battled back-and-forth in the opening half but neither team created any true scoring chances in the first 45 minutes. Iowa Wesleyan scored the first goal of the match just over 10 minutes into the second half, taking a 1-0 lead with its second shot of the period. Coe dominated a long stretch of the frame following the goal but the visitors added an insurance tally with less than 15 minutes to play to secure the win. The loss drops the Kohawks to 0-9-1 overall while the Tigers improve to 5-5 on the year.

- Iowa Wesleyan was on top to start the game, racking up five shots in the opening six-plus minutes but none of the visitors opportunities created clear scoring chances. Coe grew into the game after the early pressure, hanging on to possession for stretches of the half. The best chance of the first half fell to the feet of Ella Weber who fired an attempt on goal in the 44th minute but her strike was saved as the period ended scoreless.
- The Tigers got on the board quickly in the second half, scoring on their second shot of the period just over ten minutes in. Coe dominated the remaining 30-plus minutes of action, creating a variety of scoring chances prior to the end of the contest. The standout opportunity came in the 70th minute after Coe had created space with some passes down the left flank before the ball found Rebecca Allers who fired a shot just wide of the post. The visitors scored the game's final goal with less than 15 minutes to play, making it 2-0 in the 78th minute of the contest.
