MOUNT VERNON, Iowa - The Coe College men's track and field team competed for the first time in 2023 on Saturday, taking part in Cornell's Hilltop Invitational.
Paul Cory and
Keyondrae Wilkerson made headlines for the Kohawks, earning individual titles in the long jump and triple jump. Cory fell just shy of his personal best, posting a mark of 6.52m while Wilkerson earned the title with a leap of 11.54m.
Chris Baker was the final individual to earn a podium finish, taking third in the shot put with a new pr mark of 14.41. Baker followed up the performance with another pr in the weight throw, earning sixth place with a toss of 14.41m. The Kohawk 4x400 m relay team of Cory,
Brayden Trebon, Cole Kirkham and Wilkerson picked up the final podium spot for Coe, earning second place with a time of 3:41.42.
