GAME FACTS
- Coe pressured BVU from the jump, registering two early shots on goal while earning three corner kicks. Coe was unable to capitalize despite the opportunities, seeing both shots saved while others missed the target. The Beavers had a slight opening before the end of the first half, earning four corners in a span of five minutes but Coe's defense held strong and kept it scoreless at the break. The Kohawks again began the second half strong, peppering the Beaver net with early shots that were all saved or off the mark. Coe finally cashed in in the 64th as Weber scored her first, finding herself in acres of space before sending a powerful strike above the keeper. She made it two just over 10 minutes later, picking up the ball in the box and avoiding numerous defenders before scoring easily past the keeper. Weber looked to secure her hat trick later in the match with an attempt on goal in the 81st minute but her shot was saved as Coe went on to win 2-0.
Up next: Coe is back home for its next match, hosting Luther College on Saturday, October 14 at Clark Field at 5 PM.
