MANKATO, Minn. - The Coe College women's basketball team won its fourth straight game on Saturday afternoon, cruising to an 89-66 victory on the road at Bethany Lutheran. The Kohawks got a pair of dominant performances from
Caydee Kirkham and
Kaalyn Petersen in the victory, combining for 46 points and 18 rebounds. Kirkham turned in her second-straight double-double, finishing with 25 points and 10 boards while falling just three assists shy of the illustrious triple-double.
Taylor Brunson was Coe's third double-figure scorer in the win, posting 16 points to go along with a school-record tying eight steals. In total, Coe recorded 15 steals and turned the hosts over 24 times, turning them into 24 points.

GAME FACTS
- Bethany Lutheran started the contest well, grabbing an early 6-2 lead in the first quarter as Coe struggled early on. The Kohawks came to life and ripped off six unanswered points, grabbing their first lead at 8-6 with 5:58 left in the frame. The teams went back-and-forth over the closing minutes of the period but Coe scored five of the seven points to grab a narrow 16-13 lead after one. Coe dominated the second quarter, outscoring BLC 28-16. The Kohawks got a strong close to the quarter, ending the period on a 13-5 run to take a 44-29 lead at half. Bethany Lutheran fought back in the third quarter, narrowly outscoring Coe 19-16 to keep itself in the game. The Kohawks closed the door on any comeback efforts early in the fourth quarter, immediately extending their lead to 20 in the first minute and a half. Coe went on to handle the remaining time on the clock, locking up its fourth-straight win and fifth win away from home overall.
Up next: Coe is back on the court next week, traveling to Santa Cruz, California for two games against Pacific University and Lewis & Clark University on December 20 and 21. Both games will be played at UCSB at 3 PM CT.
