WATERLOO, Iowa - The Coe College men's golf team shaved 13 strokes off of its first-round score of 336, posting a second-round 323 to finish eighth place at the Upper Iowa Invite. The Kohawks, who finished ahead of Dubuque and Wartburg, moved up two spots on the team leader board on Saturday thanks to the strong showing. Lucas Geiger led the team, posting rounds of 84 and 78 to finish in a tie for 36th. Collin Brockmeyer and Alec Brockmeyer each finished tied for 54th, posting total scores of 167. James Carsrud and Sam Scully were the final two players inside the top 60, finishing 58th and tied for 60 after final scores of 168 and 170. Kirkwood took home the team championship, shooting a 36-hole total of 604 while Bemidji State's Ben Corbid earned medalist honors with a one-under 143.
