GALESBURG, Ill. - The Coe College women's soccer team extended its winning streak to three games on Saturday afternoon at Knox, defeating the Prairie Fire 3-1 on the road. The Kohawks opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 38th minute, capitalizing on a dominant first half. Coe extended its advantage with a goal in the 72nd minute and quickly added a third in the 74th to wrap the game up. The Prairie Fire continued to battle over the final moments of the game, pulling one goal back in the 84th to end the scoring.

GAME FACTS
- Coe and Knox started slow in the match but the hosts recorded the first shot attempt in the 8th minute which Lilly Monroe kept out. The Kohawks then put together a nice stretch, registering three shots in the span of eight minutes but the visitors were unable to notch the opener.
- The scoring began in the 38th minute as Ella Weber scored with a successful spot kick, her second goal of the year. The Kohawks managed to register three more shots before the end of the period but Knox kept it close at the break.
- Coe picked up the pressure in the final 45 minutes of action, beginning the period with five shots in the opening 10 minutes. The Kohawks finally cashed in and doubled their lead in the 72nd as Mac Adams netted her fifth goal of the year after an assist from Weber. The game was all but ended just over two minutes later in the 74th as Weber tallied her second of the match while Adams secured an assist, her first of the campaign.
