CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The Coe College women's bowling team kept up its strong start to the season last weekend at the opening Mid Iowa Bowling Conference tournament, winning the varsity and JV team titles. Additionally, four Kohawk individuals were named to the all-tournament team, highlighting the overall success of the two-day competition.
Shelby Logston was the top individual throughout the tournament, finishing first overall with a tournament average of 212.8. The lone bowler with an average over 200, Logston posted an opening-game score of 289 to pace the field.
Lauren Bodman rounded out the all-tournament finishes for Coe's varsity team, finishing with a tournament average of 195.4 to place second.
Jenna Rieder and
Carli Gordon led the individual finishes for the JV squad, earning all-tournament honors as the pair finished fourth and fifth respectively.
