PELLA, Iowa – The Coe College women's soccer team suffered a road defeat on Wednesday afternoon at Central, falling 5-0 to the Dutch in an American Rivers Conference contest. Central controlled the match from the opening whistle, scoring a pair of goals inside the first five minutes. The Dutch scored one more time before the halftime break, adding a third from the penalty spot in the 44th. The hosts put the game away for good with two more in the second half, adding insurance goals in the 57th and 80th minutes. Coe registered nine shots overall and four on target but failed to find the back of the net as Central's keeper made all four saves.

GAME FACTS
- Central's second shot of the match resulted in a goal, taking the lead in the second minute. Moments later the Dutch added another goal, scoring the second in the fifth minute after Ashton Proctor had made her first save of the match in the fourth. Maggie Preuss had the Kohawks' lone shot on target in the first half, registering an attempt on target in the 37th minute that was saved by the Dutch keeper. Central kept the pressure going and added another goal before the half, scoring a penalty to make it 3-0. Indigo Torres registered another shot on target in the 48th minute and was later followed by Elly Manning who saw a shot saved in the 57 minute. Central went on to put two more goals on the scoreboard before the final whistle, scoring in the 57th and 80th minute.
