WAUKEE, Iowa – The Coe College Clay Target team placed third at the annual Iowa Four-Year College State Championships over the weekend, finishing with a total score of 1534. The Kohawks had nine different student-athletes who contributed to the team's HOA score. Coe was led by a pair of second-place finishes from
Erin Neppl and
Gregory Stewart who finished runner-up on the female and male leaderboards. Additionally, Neppl finished second in both the sporting clay and super sporting clay disciplines while Stewart was second in super sporting and third in skeet.
Collin Malin and
Samantha Kelchen also posted standout performances in the trap disciplines, placing second on the male and female leaderboards.
