Women's Bowling Las Vegas trip recap: Kohawks place 4th & 3rd, rank fifth in IBMA collegiate poll

LAS VEGAS, Nevada – The Coe College women's bowling team solidified their national status last week at a pair of Tier I USBC Collegiate tournaments, placing 4th and 3rd at the Glenn Carlson Las Vegas Invitational and the Collegiate Shootout. The Kohawks, ranked 5th in the first International Bowling Media Association collegiate poll, were led by Whittney Morse in the Glenn Carlson Invitational as she finished sixth on the individual leaderboard with a tournament average of 214.5. Morse was the lone female bowler to record a perfect game of 300 in the tournament, joining her male teammate Lucas Dolphin as the only other player to register a perfect game. Katrina Kendle was just a few spots behind Morse, finishing ninth individually with a tournament average of 212.5. Lauren Bodman concluded the top 50 finishes for the Kohawks, placing 42nd with an average of 191.75. Morse was again impressive in the second tournament of the week, posting an average of 212.8 to place second overall. Shelby Logston joined her in the top 20, placing 19th with a five-game average of 197.6. Kendle completed the top 50 finishes for the Kohawk individuals, placing 29th with a final average of 193.2.
