CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The #5/#6 Coe College wrestling team picked up its twelfth dual victory of the 2023-24 season on Thursday evening, defeating the University of Dubuque 24-17 at Kohawk Arena. Coe ended its dual season with another strong performance, securing bonus points in four of its six victories in the evening. UD took the first bout of the contest at 125 but Coe responded with a Bryce Parke technical fall at 133 to regain control of the dual. The Spartans sandwiched another win at 141 before Ty Koedam picked up a 13-5 major decision at 149. The visitors continued the back-and-forth action at 157, picking up their own major decision to keep things tight in the team scores. The Kohawks took control one bout later at 165 as Will Esmoil earned a 4-0 decision over 11th-ranked Alonzo Smiley.  LJ Richardson extended Coe's lead at 174 in dominant fashion, earning a tech fall as the junior had built a 19-3 advantage. Jared Voss made it three consecutive Coe wins at 184, edging out a tough 2-0 decision to cement the team's advantage. Mathieu Arsenault claimed the Kohawks' final win of the evening at 197, securing another bonus-point win with a 14-1 major decision.
