LINCOLN, Neb. - The Coe College men's tennis team returned to winning ways on Friday afternoon, shutting out Nebraska Wesleyan for a 9-0 victory on the road. Coe's dominant victory began with a clean sweep in doubles, wining 8-3, 8-2 and 8-3 to go up 3-0. Top pairing
Ivan Burt-Smith and
Jumpei Kasai were joined by
Graham Peterson and
Isaac Hinze with 8-3 wins while
Grant Idoux and
Bryton Short secured an 8-2 win at number two. The sweep was completed in singles play with the Kohawks winning five of six matches in straight sets. Peterson, Short, Idoux, Hinze and Kasai all earned their second wins of the afternoon while
Kohen Juelfs secured a singles win at number six.
