CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The Coe College women's volleyball team snapped a three-game losing skid to Cornell College on Wednesday evening at Kohawk Arena, emphatically sweeping the 21st-ranked Rams 3-0 for its first win since 2022. Coe opened the match with an impressive 25-18 win, hitting .375 in the first period to set the tone. The Kohawks were forced to battle in sets two and three, edging out Cornell 27-25 in the second before a clinching 25-22 decision in the final. The hosts turned in their best offensive performance of the young season in the victory, hitting .297 as a team with only 10 errors and 43 kills. Defensively, Coe had six blocks and only three receiving errors while tallying 44 digs.

- Coe was on fire from the opening serve, totaling 14 kills in the opening frame with a .375 attack percentage. Kelsey Hansel led the charge in the opener with five kills in seven chances while Maggie Furlong followed up with four kills. Coe and Cornell traded blows in the second set, reaching extra points despite a late 21-19 lead from the Rams. Coe pulled out the set win with back-to-back points, including a kill from Maddie Harris and an attacking error. The Kohawks posted another solid hitting percentage in the third and final set, hitting .265 with 15 kills. It was a balanced effort offensively in the clincher as Coe got kills from seven players, including four from Harris.
