CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The Coe College women's soccer team picked up its first point of the 2024 season on Saturday afternoon, playing to a draw with visiting Monmouth College at Clark Field. Coe was dominant throughout the matchup, creating the majority of the chances. The hosts tallied seven shots on target but could not beat the Fighting Scot keeper, even with 10 total shots in the second half. Coe's offense ran mostly through
Mac Adams and
Elly Manning, combining for 11 of the 15 Kohawk shot attempts. In goal,
Lilly Monroe made three saves and recorded her first clean sheet of the campaign.

GAME FACTS
- Coe forced a trio of saves from Monmouth in the opening 13 minutes as Adams registered three of her seven total attempts. Monroe then kept the game scoreless going into the break with a pair of saves, one in the 19th minute and another in the 33rd minute. Coe's best chance came in the 56th minute after Adams earned a penalty kick but her ensuing effort was saved by the Monmouth keeper to keep it 0-0. The Kohawks forced one final save in the closing minutes but were unable to muster any other major chances with the contest resulting in a draw.
