CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The Coe College women's soccer team kept its second clean sheet of the season on Saturday afternoon, picking up a 1-0 victory over visiting Ripon College. The Kohawks brought the pressure from early on, forcing an early save in the match.
Mac Adams scored her team-leading third goal of the season in the 60th minute to give the Kohawks the lead, scoring from a corner kick taken by
Jordan Rosas. Coe pushed for the goal to seal the deal, forcing two more saves before the final whistle.
Lilly Monroe faced three shots, stopping all three for her second shutout of the season.

- Ripon had the game's first attempt on target, forcing a save from Monroe in the 15th minute. Adams' first chance came moments later, firing an effort on target that the Red Hawk keeper saved. Maggie Preuss had Coe's final two shots of the period, narrowly missing the goal in the 23rd minute before a blocked shot attempt in the 26th. The Kohawks began to force the issue in the second half, registering a trio of shots from Elly Manning in the opening 15 minutes. Adams broke the deadlock minutes after the final shot from Manning, heading home a floated ball from Rosas to make it 1-0. Coe kept pressing, forcing turnovers and creating chances as Rosas and Preuss both forced saves before the end of the match. The Kohawk defense dealt with two final corners in the closing minutes of the game, clearing any danger to secure the victory.
