GALESBURG, Ill. – The Coe College men's soccer team dropped a road match on Tuesday evening at Knox, falling 2-1 the Prairie Fire. The Kohawks conceded the opening goal late in the opening half as the hosts took a 1-0 lead in the 35th minute. Coe, which outshot the hosts 12-11, tied the match in the first few minutes of the second half as freshman
Brandon Kostelny netted his first goal for the Kohawks off an assist from
Tinashe Manyanga. The Prairie Fire regained the lead in the 65th minute and kept it for good, holding off a late equalizer hunt from the Kohawks to secure the win.

GAME FACTS
- Coe recorded the first three shots of the match but only Dylan Pagel could test the keeper early, seeing a shot stopped in the 13th minute. Knox found the back of the net with its third shot of the half, making it 1-0 with just over 10 minutes left in the frame. The Kohawks quickly struck back in the second half, leveling the game at one in the 49th minute as Kostelny scored his first collegiate goal. Knox nearly conceded another goal in the 64th minute but quickly switched the momentum, regaining the lead in the 65th minute on a rebounded goal. Isaiah Jakel and Manyanga tested the Prairie Fire keeper in the final 20 minutes of action but the hosts kept the lead intact and saw out the victory.
