DUBUQUE, Iowa – The Coe College men's soccer team suffered a tough 1-0 defeat at Loras College Tuesday evening. The Kohawks did well to keep the hosts off the board for the majority of the contest, starting with a solid first half where
Jr. Holland made some key saves to keep it tied.
Kevin Williams record his second shot on target of the match early in the second half before a shot attempt from
Brandon Kostleny was turned away for a corner in the 54th minute. Loras managed to find the winner later in the half, breaking the deadlock in the 78th minute after turning Coe over in its defensive zone.

- Loras started strong, forcing early back-to-back saves from Holland in the seventh minute. Williams had Coe's first shot on target in the 13th minute, seeing an attempt saved as the game remained level. Loras controlled much of the remaining first half, recording five shots on goal before the end of the period. Williams had another shot on target early in the second half as an attempt from a set piece was saved by the Duhawk keeper. Brandon Kostelny had Coe's next shot on target during a strong stretch for the Kohawks, forcing a corner with a strong strike to the corner. Loras took control with 15 minutes remaining, piling on the pressure before scoring the game's lone goal in the 78th minute. Coe's final chance to salvage a point came in the 89th minute as a shot attempt from Juan Suarez missed the target.
