CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The Coe College women's soccer team suffered a defeat Saturday evening at Clark Field, falling 7-0 to the Central College Dutch. Coe and Central were scoreless across the first 10-plus minutes but Central scored the opener on a failed clearance from the Kohawks. The hosts did well to stay in the game for the remainder of the half, limiting the Dutch to the early goal while having a few chances to level the match. Central exploded in the second 45 minutes, scoring six more goals to pad the lead and see out the victory.
Danielle Boche, Sara McKeown and
Rebecca Allers had Coe's shots on goal in the match while
Cecillie Monroe made 12 saves in goal for the Kohawks.

- Monroe made two early saves for Coe, keeping it scoreless with saves in the third and seventh minutes. Allers answered and forced a Dutch save moments later, calling the keeper into action in the eighth. Central took the lead in the 14th minute, pouncing on a failed clearance from Coe before a solid finish for 1-0. Coe's best chance to score came later in the half as Boche got on the end of a corner kick and headed it toward goal but the shot missed just high as Coe was kept out. Central raced out of the halftime break and doubled its lead in the 52nd minute with a goal from a corner. The Dutch added five more goals before the final whistle, tallying in the 62nd, 73rd, 77th, 86th and 89th minutes.
