STORM LAKE, Iowa – The Coe College women's soccer team dropped a road match at Buena Vista Wednesday evening, falling 3-1 to the Beavers in an A-R-C matchup. The Beavers jumped ahead early in the match, scoring the opener less than four minutes in and later doubling their lead in the 21st minute. Coe's goal came in the 25th minute as
Mac Adams tallied her fifth goal of the year but the Beavers added another insurance goal early in the second half to reestablish the lead. Coe dominated the final 40-plus minutes but could not beat the BVU keeper again as the Beaver hung on for the win. The Kohawks outshot the Beavers 21-7 overall and 11-7 on target as the Beavers made 10 saves as a team.

- Buena Vista scored with the game's first shot, finding the back of the net three minutes and 17 seconds in as an intercepted back pass in Coe's defense was pounced on. The Beavers doubled their lead from a set piece chance, playing a long ball into the box that bounced off the Kohawks and to an attacker for the 2-0 lead. Coe got right back into the game in the 25th minute as Adams and Maggie Preuss linked up for the goal. Preuss started a driving run into the box and fired a shot on goal that was stopped but the resulting rebound fell to Adams for the tap in to make it 2-1. The Beavers capitalized on another failed clearance in the early moments of the second, making the most of the chance to go up 3-1. Coe went to battle for the remainder of the match, having five shots saved and one hit the woodwork as the visitors could not capitalize on the momentum.
