LINCOLN, Neb. — The Coe College women's basketball team picked up a win in its final A-R-C game of 2025 Saturday afternoon, defeating the Nebraska Wesleyan University Prairie Wolves 64-53. The Kohawks were led by sophomore
Audrie Helmrichs in the victory as she posted a career-high 27 points while pulling down 11 rebounds for her fourth double-double of the season. Coe got off to a hot start, outscoring the hosts 25-9 in the opening quarter as it shot 3-of-6 from deep and 10-of-17 from the floor in total. NWU slowly pulled itself back into the game, keeping tabs on the Kohawks in the second quarter before a strong 22-10 margin in the third to pull within two possessions. An early layup from the Prairie Wolves in the fourth quarter made it a three point game but Coe answered with eight straight points to put the game away for good. Helmrichs was joined by two other double-digits scorers as
Kelly Knight and
Taryn Kravig added 13 and 11 respectively while
Caydee Kirkham had seven points, seven assists and four rebounds despite some shooting struggles.

- Helmrichs and the Kohawks were unstoppable in the first, ripping off an early 11-7 run in the first five minutes of play. Coe put the pressure on in the latter stages of the period, scoring 11 unanswered points as Knight sparked the run midway through with a long-distance jumper. She made the Prairie Wolves pay yet again before the end of the quarter, extending the advantage to 25-9 with another 3. Coe and NWU were back-and-forth in the second quarter, trading blows throughout. A short burst at the end of the quarter with a free throw from Kirkham and layup from Helmrichs gave Coe a 36-19 lead at the break. The Prairie Wolves controlled the third quarter with a stellar shooting performance, hitting 9-of-12 field goals while limiting Coe to just three made baskets in the period. A layup from the hosts started the third quarter and made it a three point game at 46-43 but eight unanswered points from Coe put the game away. Helmrichs scored four during the stretch, starting the streak with a layup before converting two clutch free throws.
