CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Coe College men's tennis team suffered a defeat to nationally-ranked UW-Whitewater Sunday at the Clark Racquet Center, falling 4-3 to the no. 21 Warhawks. Doubles was tightly contested but the visitors edged the opening team point with victories at number one and two.
Graham Peterson and
Joshua Tiemann salvaged one win in the doubles competition at number three, picking up a 6-4 victory as consolation.
Grant Idoux and
Jumpei Kasai joined Tiemann as victors in singles competition, picking up Coe's three team points with victories at number three, number four and number six. Tiemann and Idoux picked up three-set wins at number three and four while Kasai secured a straight sets decision at number six.
