MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – The Coe College women's soccer team opened its 2025 season with a tough road matchup at Augsburg, falling 2-0 to the Auggies Saturday. The Kohawks managed five shots in the game but conceded once in the first half and once in the second half as the hosts were on the front foot for most of the game. The Kohawks had three shots in the first half, including two from
Elly Manning and one from
Sara McKeown. The Auggies scored the opener in the 32nd minute and almost made it two in the 41st minute but a save from
Ashton Proctor kept Coe in touch. Manning recorded Coe's lone shot on goal in the 53rd minute prior to Augsburg's second goal in the 65th minute.

- Manning had the game's first show in the third minute, one of three shots in the opening 15 minutes for Coe. Augsburg took control at the 17 minute mark, recording five shots in a 15-minute span before scoring first in the 32nd. Proctor did well to handle another shot on goal in the 41st minute, keeping it a one-goal deficit for her team. Manning tested the Augsburg keeper early in the second half but the junior's shot was stopped as Coe was kept off the scoreboard. The Auggies doubled their lead in the 65th, scoring after a save from Proctor rebounded in front of goal.
