ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Coe College women's soccer team played for the second consecutive day Sunday morning, falling 3-2 to Hamline University. Coe and Hamline were scoreless after the opening 45 minutes despite a combined 16 shots in the half. Six saves from Coe's keeper
Ashton Proctor kept the Pipers off the board before the hosts broke the deadlock in the 47th minute. Hamline added two goals in the next 20 minutes, making it 2-0 in the 51st and 3-0 in the 65th. The Kohawks continued to force the issue despite the deficit, immediately answering with a goal from
Magdalynne Preuss, scoring moments after a penalty kick miss. Coe made it 3-2 in the 78th minute with a goal from
Mac Adams, pulling within one but the final chance was saved in the 88th minute as Hamline saw out the victory.

- Proctor made an early statement for the Kohawks, saving a penalty within the first minute of the game to keep it level. She made three more saves before the 15-minute mark, allowing Coe to grow into the contest. The Kohawks forced a pair of saves during the next phase of play as Adams and Elly Manning had shots saved by the Piper keeper. Both teams registered more attempts on goal before the halftime whistle but two saves for the Kohawks and Pipers made it scoreless at the break. Hamline struck quickly in the second half, scoring twice in the opening six minutes despite another Proctor save. The Pipers added their final goal 15 minutes later, making it 3-0 with 25 minutes left to play. Preuss cut into the deficit less than two minutes later, scoring the Kohawks' first goal of 2025 after her initial penalty was saved. The Kohawks made it 3-2 on a beautifully lofted shot from Mac Adams after Preuss found her in the middle of the pitch. Coe had its final shot of the game saved in the 88th minute before Proctor made another huge save, stopping a penalty in the 89th minute despite the result having been decided.
