MOUNT VERNON, Iowa – The Coe College women's soccer team won its second straight match Wednesday afternoon at Cornell College, defeating the Rams 4-0 in the 2025 Bremner Cup matchup. The Kohawks scored an early goal from a set piece scramble as
Mac Adams got the last touch on a ball that was pinging around the box before finding the back of the net. Coe continued to attack the Rams net but could not add more until the second half, scoring three more times in the second 45 minutes.
Magdalynne Preuss scored the second goal on an individual driving effort before setting up
Elly Manning for the third.
Danielle Boche had a shot saved in the 74th minute that set up the fourth with
Dessa Snyder finishing up a rebound for the 4-0 scoreline.

- Coe's opening goal came from a set piece just inside Cornell's half, playing a ball into the box which bounced through bodies and toward the goal. Adams was instinctive enough to find the ball and get a touch to finish the chance and give her team 1-0 lead. Coe's second came from a bit of individual brilliance from Preuss as she picked up the ball well outside the 18 with a defender on her back. She spun her marker and sprinted past the defense, dribbling into the box before easing a shot past the keeper for a 2-0 lead. Moments later, she did strong work to set up Manning for a third, picking up the ball on the right wing before beating her defender and looping a ball to the back post. Manning connected perfectly with a volley and sent it back toward the far side of the goal and into the back of the net. Boche also did solid work down the right flank to create the fourth goal, carrying into the box before firing a shot that the keeper could only parry. Snyder was in the perfect place at the perfect time, firing home the rebound which fell kindly to her feet.
