CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — The Coe College women's basketball team dominated Luther College Wednesday evening at Kohawk Arena, taking down the Norse 78-49 to move to 5-0 in American Rivers Conference play. Senior guard
Caydee Kirkham recorded the program's first triple-double since 2009, totaling 25 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists as Coe shot 52 percent from the floor and 50 percent from deep to complement the milestone efforts. Coe's offense was on fire from the opening whistle, outscoring the visitors 20-6 in the first period to establish control. The Kohawks slowly built the lead in the second and put the game away after the halftime break, scoring 19 of the first 22 points to put Luther in the rear-view mirror. Kirkham led the offensive effort but was well-supported with nine other players scoring in the victory.
Taryn Kravig was the other Kohawk in double-figures, posting 15 points while knocking down four 3s.

- The Kohawks opened the game on fire, dominating the first quarter thanks to seven field goals in the opening 10 minutes. A 3 from Kravig set the tone to start the game before a balanced attack gave the hosts a 20-6 lead after one. Luther slowly cut into the deficit early in the second, scoring eight of the first 13 points to pull within 11 at 25-14. Kirkham and the Kohawks pushed the lead before the end of the second quarter as the senior scored 12 points on a 15-7 run to make it 40-21 at the break. Coe put the game on ice in the first four minutes of the third quarter, ripping off a 19-3 run that featured eight from Kirkham, five from Kravig and four from Laiken Haas. Kirkham hit the triple-double mark late in the third quarter, pulling down her 10th rebound of the game with 1:26 left in the period.
