CEDAR RAPIDS, IA. – The Coe women's soccer team would take on the Vikings from Augustana on a rainy last day of September. The Kohawks last non-conference match of the season ended in defeat as Augustana took a 5-1 ictory at Clark Field. The first half saw both Coe and Augustana scoring early in the first half, with
Magdalynne Preuss converting a penalty given to the Kohawks via an Augustana handball. The Vikings would keep the pressure on in the second half and put the match out of reach with two late goals in the 67th and 81st minutes.

AUGUSTANA 5 - COE 1
- Both teams made a quick start to the first half, as both teams scored a goal within the first ten minutes. The Vikings scored the first goal of the match in the seventh minute, but a handball from Augustana just one minute later would put Preuss at the penalty spot. She would convert in the top left-hand corner and bring the score to 1-1 in just eight minutes. Offensively, both teams put pressure on the opposing net, with Augustana leading the shots on goal four to Coe's two. The Kohawks would concede two more goals before the first half came to a close.
- Coe would work hard to get back into the match as they peppered the Augustana defense early on. Chloe Meiners would total four shots in the Coe defeat, but would be a big part of their offense as she led the team in shots. Augustana would stretch the lead in the 67th minute and in the 81st minute they would score from a corner kick to put the match out of reach.
