CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — Coe College student athletes
Jackson Bowman, Caydee Kirkham and
Kamen Rangelov were honored Monday afternoon in the A-R-C's weekly awards release, earning performer of the week recognition in their respective sports. Bowman, a junior forward for the Kohawk men's basketball team, guided his squad to a pair of wins, scoring a career-high 35 points in a win over Luther before his second double-double of the season in an upset victory over Loras Saturday. Kirkham kept up a torrid pace in a pair of wins for the Coe Women's Basketball team as the senior became the second leading scorer in program history with back-to-back 31-point and 25-point performances. She added 15 rebounds and 10 assists during the week and had just five total turnovers in 73 minutes. Rangelov picked up his second consecutive men's swimming performer of the week honor after he helped the Kohawks clinch a season-ending dual win at Simpson. The sophomore picked up three solo wins in the 200 IM, 100 Free and 100 Breaststroke as he picked up crucial team points to lead Coe to victory.
