SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The Coe College Clay Target team got a pair of individual national titles en route to a third-place
finish

at the 2026 ACUI/SCTP National Championships over the weekend.
Gregory Stewart and
Kamea Herrera made headlines for the Kohawks, claiming individual national titles in the male and female Classic All-American Division divisions. Stewart, who beat 270 other shooters, totaled 276 to tie for the top spot and edged an opponent from Murray State 14-10 in the shoot-off to claim the trophy. Herrera topped the female division, which featured 88 other competitors, recording a first-place score of 276, four points better than second place.
Carl Rathje also turned in a top-three finish for the Kohawks in the Sporting Class C Division with a total score of 75. Overall, Coe totaled 478 in trap, 454 in skeet, 398 in sporting clays, and 434 in super sporting for a total of 1764.
