DECORAH, Iowa – The Coe College Men's Golf team wrapped up its regular season Sunday, finishing the Luther Spring Invite, a 36-hole tournament hosted by the Norse at Oneota Golf & Country Club. It was a strong close to the year for Coe, placing second on the team leaderboard while having three individuals finish inside the top-10.
Tyler Santi continued his impressive freshman season, placing third individually with a 36-hole score of 153. The Indianola native opened with five-over 79 on Friday and bounced back with a two-over 74 that featured three birdies and a back-nine score of 35.
Mitchell Katz was just behind Santi with a two-day total of 154 as the fellow freshman finished tied for fourth. Katz started with a 75 and followed with a 79 on day two where he steadied the ship with an even-par back nine.
Sam Scully rounded out the top-10 efforts for Coe with a 36-hole score of 155 to finish solo sixth.
Lane Pierson was the final contributor to the team score for the Kohawks, finishing 13th with a total of 158 that included rounds of 80 and 72.
Brady Yergens placed 29th as the final member of the five-man squad while
Jackson Pipho finished T11 as an individual with a two-day total of 157.
Tommy Kulesza and
C. Reece Breitenbach were the final two individuals in action for Coe, placing T20 and T22 at 19 and 20 over par.
