DES MOINES, Iowa – Coe College men's golf senior Sam Scully fired a second-round 75 on Monday, leading the Kohawk men on day two of the American Rivers Conference Championships. Coe remains in seventh place after 36-holes, posting a two-day total of 634. Scully moved up 13 spots on the leaderboard to T27 with his team's best round, bettering his first-round score by 10 strokes as he carded one birdie, three bogeys, and a double. Mitchell Katz currently leads Coe's individuals after two rounds, sliding down the leaderboard four spots after a second-round 80 that has him in 14th. Katz shot an opening-nine 41 but responded on the back with three-over 39 to finish at nine-over. Lane Pierson is next on the leaderboard in a tie for 21st after a second-round 82. Jackson Pipho, who sits at T32, rounds out Coe's team scoring for the day with 81 on Monday, while Tyler Santi shot 82 and sits in 40th place. Overall, the Kohawks had the third-lowest team score of the second round with a total of 318. The Kohawks are two shots back of sixth, three shots back of fifth, and 10 shots back of fourth with 18 holes to play.
