PELLA, Iowa — The Coe College women's track and field team opened the American Rivers Conference championships on Friday afternoon, being led by the 4x800 relay squad that picked up team points with a seventh-place finish.
Lily Mayo, Brieannah James, Roz Hoefflin and
Ashton Proctor combined in the race for a time of 11:02.24, earning two team points with the finish.
Lily Mayo competed on the track individually in the 3000m steeplechase, placing 11th with a time of 11:53.50.
Alexandria Travis and
Denise Smith competed on the field in the shot put, placing 21st and 23rd, respectively. Travis turned in a personal-best effort, launching a throw of 10.18m.
